School's back in session...can't really say that I'm excited about it. I finished my final assignment from the Fall semester this past Saturday, so I've practically had two days of real, stress-free vacation. Definitely could have used another week...but whatever. I'm taking 16 credit hours at the moment, but after tomorrow, I should be down to 13. 2 English courses (Psychological Approach to Writing, European Cinema), Geography (which I'm stoked about, cuz the professor is from England and completely captures my attention - great guy), and Human Growth and Development. Looks like I'll be sticking with an English Major (with Film and Media Studies tracking), though I still might add an Education minor...maybe. I dunno...not sure if I could handle classrooms full of punk-ass adolescents. Yeah, there's always elementree/grade school, but I don't think the subject matter would be engaging enough for me. blah blah blah...

Frank, update your LJ. You're practically my only inspiration to keep this thing going. Brian, Will - if you'd update more often with substantial posts, the world would be a better place. Juan - I've just about given up on you. Mandy - keep up the good work. Jenn - it's time for the monthly update.

Got X2, Punch Drunk Love, and Tommy Boy on dvd. 3 great flicks...can't wait to revisit Tommy Boy. It's been too long... "Housekeeping - you want me jerk you off?"

Mindless Self Indulgence may very well be the best band of our time. Seriously. Frank, if I give you any excuses when they come back to town, knock my ass out and drag me to the show.

Laura should definitely take Geography with me. Definitely. Speaking of Laura...I'm hesitant to do this - for my own sake - but what the hell. I'm gonna take a poll. Florida weather pisses me off. Yesterday's weather led me to believe that I'd be fine wearing my excellent Homestar Runner shirt with shorts today...and now, I'm freezing my ass off. My Geography class better help me understand and accept Florida's behavior, or else, it's on. I'll sick the HomestArmy on its ass.

Just took a little tour of Smathers Library. Kinda cool... - there's a small exhibition upstairs that displays highlights from the history of UF. Reading publications and seeing objects from 50 - 100 - 150 years ago is insane when I consider the fact that I'm in the same place from which they all came from. One article reminded me of the fact that approximately 40 years ago, blacks weren't allowed in several establishments here. 40 years ago. Crazy.

For those that don't already know: Brock's current band, Hand to Hand, kicks serious ass. I have no doubt that they'll be signed by 2005. Check out their website and keep an eye open for new mp3s. I guarantee that even if it's not your style, you'll still be impressed.

Less than an hour ago, I had 5 chicken tenders, a BK Big Fish, and a medium fry. I'm starving again. Someone, please...permanently sedate my metabolism.
