So there's this thing you don't know about. Don't feel bad - most people have never heard of it either.
It's an annual concert that, for three years straight, has sold out four months prior to the event date.
It is being held in Atlanta, Georgia, and it will take place over the span of two days: Sept. 15 and 16th.
Tickets are 104 dollars each.
This thing is called ProgPower USA. And it is good.
Tickets go on sale April 1st at 10:00 AM via Ticketmaster. You can bet that I will be on the phone at 9:59.
To be honest, I had only heard of 3 of the 10 bands that are scheduled to perform when I first checked the official website, but, since then, I checked out all of the other bands. The vast majority of them kick your ass and mine. Frank, if there were ever a show for you to go to, this would be it.
At this moment, I am listening to one of the bands that will be playing ProgPower USA, and they're freakin' awesome. Mercenary is the name of the group, and they're really, really, really sweet. Frank, dude, you are gonna love these guys. I gotta burn you a copy.
